Mindcrusher Tattoo was born out of a simple frustration: too many shops in Chicago were running clients in and out like a conveyor belt. In 2011, we opened our doors at 6705 N Clark St in Edgewater with a different idea — slow down, listen to the person in the chair, and make something worth keeping.
What started as a small studio on the North Side has grown into one of Edgewater's most trusted tattoo destinations. Over 14 years, we've tattooed people from Andersonville, Rogers Park, Uptown, Lakeview, Lincoln Square, and every corner of Chicago — from first-timers nervous about the needle to collectors adding the next chapter to a full sleeve.
We've never chased trends. We've never cut corners. We do custom tattoos, fine line, black and grey realism, neo-traditional, Japanese, and color realism — and we do them right, every time. Walk-ins are always welcome, but if you've got something big in mind, hit us on Instagram and let's talk.

Every tattoo we make is drawn specifically for the person getting it. We don't pull from a template library or recycle old designs. You get something that has never existed before and never will again.
